  1. I don't get why we'd be going in for another midfielder in Gallagher when we're stacked out in that position more than other areas that seem to me more important to address, unless someone is moving on?…..UTFV!!!

  2. Gallagher would be a phenomenal signing for us. Even in games where he didn't start, that kind of physicality and energy off the bench is exactly what we need

  3. Big fan of Connor and I see why Unai is as well. As already mentioned in a few comments in here I think Unai see him playing in a more advanced role not in the pivotal role. He will give us alot of energy, stability in our structure in the middle of the park. And he gives us security if we recieve a big offer for Youri in the summer from the middle east. Fingers crossed we wont but you never know. This signing will guarantee us CHL football and his europeann experience will make us even bigger favourites to clinch the the Europa Leauge title. Im all over this deal, make it happen UTV!

  4. It wouldn't bother athletic about the elliot signing because Villa will explain that he was a monchi signing, and he has gone now….
Dave showing his snowflake, left wing loonie side by saying he feels like it is unethical to pay £10.4 million for a 16yr old…. Come on geezer he has already played mens football and he looks like he is stronger than the blokes…. He is going to be with one of the best managers in the world and coming into a team so tight and like a family…. To have Ollie to learn from will be amazing for him…. If he learns to move like watkins and get into the spaces Ollie gets into and then polishes up on his finishing he will be immense…. Even if he is a Heskey type who isn't prolific but supplies for his teammates he will be a success…. Heskey's forward partners have always sang his praises as the best partner they ever had and i remember Owen saying he was a dream to play with….

  5. Gallagher is much more of an AMC than Youri. Carries much more of a goal threat and can fill in the pivot. Long term replacement for McGinn as well, very similar in terms of profile. In Unai we trust. Barkley is made of butter, we cant rely on him anymore would be an massive upgrade to get Gallagher on him and would show elite club mentality

  6. A bit unrelated and probably very controversial, but anyway. I think we might need to start looking for a new goalkeeper. I think Martinez may be past his best. Mistakes, injuries and the possibility that he doesn't actually really want to be at the club anymore tells me that it's time to go.

  7. I really like the idea of Gallagher freeing up Tielsman to play more up-front.

So along with us, Spurs and United are apparently interested. I can't see him going to Spurs, but United still have pull…but we have an ace up our sleeves in Emery…

  8. Are we selling Youri Tielemanns to the Saudi's to help solve some of our PSR/SCR restrictions???

Just piecing together bits I've read/heard/watched and spitting out an idea!!

    UTMV 💜 💙

  9. We’ve done great shopping in the championship. Konsa, Cash, Buendia, Rogers, Watkins. Look around the league – Bowen, Semenyo, Eze.
Prob wouldn’t get as stung by wages with players from there either for SCR rules which is the big set of handcuffs for us financially

  10. Dan, I think you are correct about Barclay leaving, but I can also see EMI Buendia leaving and going to Leeds this window, meaning we have a space in the middle of the park. So Gallagher would be perfect for us especially as it helps comply to PSR as it would be a loan to buy! Great business.

  11. Agree at first glance it doesn’t seem a priority that could be a winger BUT if there’s a chance to get Gallagher he is still quite young and could be great value. SJM playing a lot of minutes, especially with Onana’s injury troubles. If we had had Gallagher against Arsenal does that help us? Absolutely yes. Go get him.

  12. Massive yes from me on Gallagher, not quite the defensive level of Onana, not quite the assuredness on the ball of Kamara and nowhere near the vision of Tielemans, but as a hybrid of the three and a HUGE upgrade on Barkley, this would be one hell of a signing.

  13. I like Gallagher and his work rate. Hearing as replacement for Barkley makes sense now. I’ll be sorry to see Barkley go but injuries and him aging, probably right.

  14. How do you miss mentioning both Onana & Kamara miss games regularly….more so Onana. I still don't see CG playing in a double pivot regularly, I'd see him further forward myself

  15. He`d be an astute signing as long as we also add a direct attacking winger/attacker- Absolutely crying out for pace out wide. We`re certainly not getting it from our current crop- Sancho, Guessand, Buendia, no point mentioning Elliott.

  16. Imagine Gallagher and marmoush 😬😃… Alex Freeman at RB from Orlando city would be a great pickup he's out of contract in a few months and absolutely flying for USA national team

  17. Connor Gallagher – £35m for a squad utility player, off the bench or occasional starts, seems a bit steep. Granted, at 25/26 he has decent PL experience and is a recent England international. He’s a younger and less injury prone replacement for the likes of Barkley. Sounds like potential re-use of cash ‘reserved’ for the Harvey Elliot summer purchase which is now off the plan.

  18. Unai wants Gallagher as a replacement to Ross Barkley. Inai knows Barkley is finished now with his fitness. Having Gallagher in the squad will allow John McGinn to play further forward. Hopefully, the transfer gets done.
