Cameron was sentenced to 23 years in prison in August 2016 for attempted murder after a stabbing in Poole, Dorset, in connection with threats from rival gangs.
The then-34-year-old was found guilty of attempted murder by a jury following a trial at Portsmouth Crown Court.
The court heard that Cameron and a co-defendant had stabbed their 22-year-old victim around 10 times during the attack.
Cameron was said to be immersed in serious and organised crime and had been under threat from a rival gang.
Members of the jury were told they tried to kill the victim in a bid to lay the blame at the door of this rival gang.
In CCTV shown to the court, the defendant could be seen running from the scene while the victim staggered from an alleyway to seek help.
He sustained 10 stab wounds to the stomach, neck, and the back of the head, all of which required surgery in hospital.
