1. The Red Lion

The Red Lion reopened under the ownership of the Chestnut Group in the summer and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner

2. The Peacock Inn

Visitors to the traditional village pub can choose from an a la carte or eight course tasting menu crafted by head chef Sam Clover.
Sir Gerald’s Pie was named after a local and The Peacock was awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin for its affordability.
3. Maybush Inn

Drive from Ipswich: 23 minutes
Run by Deben Inns, The Maybush Inn is located on the banks of the River Deben and serves pubs classics like homemade soup of the day and breaded whitebait.
Earlier this year, a video naming it the UK’s best pub went viral on TikTok.
4. The Lindsey Rose

The Lindsey Rose is a family and dog-friendly pub near Hadleigh, which also has a large beer garden to enjoy in the warmer months.
On Wednesdays, guests can get a burger and a selected drink for £18 while Sundays are for roast dinners.

5. Ramsholt Arms

The beloved riverside pub reopened just over a decade ago by the same family behind the nearby Ufford Crown.
During the winter, it serves a range of hearty dishes showcasing game and other produce from the local area.
