Queens Park Rangers have re-signed former loanee Ronnie Edwards for an undisclosed fee from fellow Championship side Southampton.
QPR said the 22-year-old has signed a “long-term” contract with the club but have not disclosed the exact length of the deal.
Former Peterborough defender Edwards scored twice in 22 appearances during a loan spell with QPR in the second half of last season.
“When I came here last January, I had an amazing time,” he told the club website., external
“I felt like I was at home straight away, I loved everything about it; the boys, the staff, the fans – so it was a no-brainer for me.
“I thought my loan probably couldn’t have gone any better. It’s like a different mentality now, knowing that I’m here permanently. It feels amazing.”
Edwards has played 14 times in league and cup for Southampton this season, but has not featured for the Saints since 6 December.
