This would be a huge mistake. The only leverage we have is the World Cup. If you send him on loan he will be back here in a few months and it will be impossible to get rid of him.
We will be stuck with him and trying to loan him to free up his salary.
Either permanent move or enjoy the season from the stands

Wording doesn’t sound too promising. Seems like he won’t take a wage cut and we all know Girona won’t pay much. There needs to be compromise on both sides – otherwise just let him rot on the bench. We are doing him a favour here.

If it’s that deal where Girona pay only 1m of his wages then it should be instantly rejected. What is the point of a deal where Ter Stegen not only gets the game time he wants but also gets payed the same wages? I’d rather keep him chained to the bench than let Girona fleece us. If he so desperately wants the game time so that he can represent Germany. then he needs to look for a permanent exit
