Nuno comments on JWP

  1. Something happened. There’s no other reason to not have a leader like him in the team in some capacity.

  2. He wasn’t great. He was a passenger on the pitch and didn’t really deliver from set pieces, which he was a master at before he joined. You hear a lot of anger online (facebook/twitter love a moan) about him being dropped but he was not good defensively, and was sloppy going forward as well.

  3. He was a bad player before we started playing bad, that doesn’t suddenly make him him good.

Nobody’s stock rises higher than a player who isn’t playing

I agree he’s nowhere near the starting eleven. He’s past it and premier league isn’t his level any more.

At the same time though, you can’t tell me he’s any worse than Rodriguez or some of the more raw academy players that Nuno is putting on the bench. It’s clearly a personal thing between them from the Forest loan.
