The 19-year-old midfielder will spend the second half of the campaign in League Two after agreeing fresh terms in north London. For the boyhood Gooner, it represents his first move into senior football since arriving at the club in July 2019.

Copley only signed his first professional deal in June 2025 and has enjoyed a productive start to the 2025-26 season. He has already made 14 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal’s academy sides, and was with Mikel Arteta‘s squad for their pre-season tour of Asia.

Crawley confirmed the loan deal shortly after Arsenal, announcing the arrival of Copley for the rest of the campaign as they look to strengthen their midfield options. T

A box-to-box midfielder by trade, Copley is reportedly valued internally for his energy, versatility and tidy use of the ball. The loan to Crawley offers him the chance to translate those qualities into regular senior minutes, with Arsenal keen to see how he adapts to the physical and tactical demands of league football with a side battling relegation from the EFL. Only goal difference keeps them out of the drop zone after 24 games and 14 defeats.

Copley is represented by CAA Base who count among their most notable clients Ebere Eze, Cole Palmer, Pedro Porro, Pape Matar Sarr, Djed Spence, James Maddison, Richarlison, and Heung-min Son.
