WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Blues this afternoon.
The 28-year-old midfielder joins Birmingham City after leaving former club Crystal Palace earlier this week at the end of her short-term contract.
Hopcroft spent two-and-a-half years with the South Londoners. She made 27 appearances for the club in all competitions as Crystal Palace won the Barclays WSL2 title back in 2023/2024. The midfielder also briefly turned out for The Eagles in the top flight last term in a campaign that saw her struggle with an injury.
It is fair to say that Hopcroft has made a real impact at Crystal Palace and she will undoubtedly be an asset for new club Birmingham City.
After joining Blues, Hopcroft said “I’ve seen over the years how Birmingham have progressed each season and how much they’ve invested in the team and the women’s side, and I feel like they really align with my ambitions.
“I’ve only been here one day, but I’ve already felt so welcome, and that already tells me there’s a real togetherness at this club.”
Hopcroft is Birmingham City’s third signing of the January transfer window.
