It will be undoubtedly refreshing and slightly encouraging for a beleaguered Blue Army to learn that Leicester City Football Club are reportedly attempting to make January transfer window moves. What the fan base will not be surprised at, or will treat with disdain, is failure to strength the squad this winter. No more failures will be tolerated by a generally disenchanted set of supporters at King Power Stadium.

Even the more mild-mannered and easy-going Foxes fans are beginning to become tired and upset with the quality of performances and the lowly English Football League Championship table position. Not to mention, most importantly, the disappointing direction of the club. Fresh recruits are one aspect that could boost the support somewhat.

Supporters of the East Midlands outfit will not care one bit if that transpires as free signings, loan signing or paid for recruitment. Just make sure they can play – and respect the badge this time! That is because, as sad as it is to admit, a good few of the recent acquisitions have been far too poor or unsuitable, with all due respect. So let’s hear about Leicester’s latest target to prospectively add to manager Marti Cifuentes’ roster.

Leicester City reportedly see transfer approach for Venezia midfielder Issa Doumbia rejected – just like AstonVilla, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton

Along with a couple of Premier League clubs, two Championship sides are said to have tried to secure the services of Italian footballer, Doumbia. He plays in midfield for Serie B club Venezia.

Incidentally, the 22-year-old baller is often cited as having traits that Leicester are low on, or desperately require: reliable strength in the central area with a vision to read situations. As well as the ability to bypass opponents and ball carry.

However, unfortunately it appears that the Orange-Black-Greens man won’t be joining the LE2 team:

🚨 Excl. – Despite the genuine interests of #AstonVilla, #Leicester, #Wolverhampton and #Southampton, #Venezia don’t want to sell and negotiate for Issa #Doumbia, who is considered non-transferable in January’s transfer window. #transfers
