There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Beşiktaş are closing in on Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Emmanuel Agbadou.
The Black Eagles are looking to bring in a central defender and have been linked with the 28-year-old over the past week. Fulham’s Issa Diop has been a reported target in recent days, but a deal looks unlikely for the Frenchman.

According to Sporx, the Super Lig side have now made ‘significant progress’ in their attempts to sign the Wolves player.
There had been claims this week Wolves had rejected Beşiktaş initial offer for the Ivorian. However, there’s now renewed Turkish confidence that a deal is possible.
Beşiktaş are looking to loan Agbadou, with a €15m purchase option. Negotiations are expected to continue between the two clubs, and the gap is said to be decreasing.
Due to Ivory Coast still being at AFCON, a potential transfer isn’t expected to be completed until he returns to Molineux.
Emmanuel Agbadou has made 16 appearances for Wolves this season and is contracted until 2029. Over optimism isn’t a stranger to the Turkish transfer media, and it remains to be seen if that’s the case here.
Beşiktaş are also in contact with the Premier League club for Jhon Arias, which looks a difficult deal to do. There’s a chance they’re laying groundwork for summer transfers, hoping Wolves are relegated.
