    His G/A per 90 stats in each position:

    * LW: 1.43 G/A per 90
    * RW: 1.23 G/A per 90
    * CF: 1.28 G/A per 90

    LW is clearly his best position. Moving him to the left and playing Gonzalo or Endrick as CF is the obvious move imo.

    he clearly likes to play from the left, but the last time he played without rodrygo and vini on the pitch he was still st while the 2 actual strikers played wingers(GG, Endrick) No matter how we wanna see mbappe lw its not gonna work cuz of his workrate

  3. Just because someone starts at striker , does not mean their player profile is one LMAO. Yet some people here keep insisting Mbappe is a pure number 9. Mbappe is best on the LW, he just bangs in goals starting at striker, because he’s one of the best in the world.

    Let’s experiment with Mbappe and GG, with either rodrygo or Vini.

  4. I’m in the minority here, but I do believe Mbappé and Vini can still work well together if you had the rest of the squad worked around them. That being said, obviously Vini should be benched at the moment based on performances.

    If you could effectively get those two interchanging position similar to when Vini was doing it with Benzema, it could work wonders. If you could also have somebody occupy the box like Jude, that would also be good. If you could put a player on the right wing who likes to go ahead and drive in the 1v1s that would be good. If Trent could play that pseudo inverted role and occasionally bang across that wood help the midfield stay compact. Teams still needs a tempo keeper on the left side to work with Vini and Mbappe like Kroos and Modrić did. Along with that ball winning defensive role (Valverde, Tchouameni, Cama) roaming to help out the team.

    But what do I know? Just my dumb opinion.

    And yet the team still plays better without him. But we will see today if that narrative continues since we got smoked by atleti in liga

    he’s not a pure LW (like ribery or vini or something)

    he’s not a classic striker (like lewandowski or haaland)

    he’s a Left Forward (like ronaldo)

    this is obvious. we need to build around him the way we built around ronaldo. why are we sacrificing the best player in the world to accomodate vini i dont get it.

    mbappe LF, gonzalo ST, rodrygo RM
