12m for a 16 year old is crazy. But it must mean he’s half decent. So the only logical conclusion is…bargain!

He’s English and a forward

Maybe one of the first of the “Olabe does great with youth who come good” signings? (Along with Alysson, obviously!)

No fucking shot we spend 12m on a 16 year old, what the hell. We need reinforcements on the field, not in the academy.

Born in England so we can sign him now despite his age, which is good.
Not gonna pretend to know the slightest thing about him but it sounds like there’s some real potential there. Hell of a statement though to start the Olabe regime with signing two kids for a combined €22m (whatever the actual structure of how that’s all paid ends up being). If they can both hit it off with us, then goddamn.
Hopefully we’ve landed a real gem here.

I’m assuming it only reaches €12m if he hits all of the contract clauses.
I just had a quick look at his stats –
12 goals in 24 appearances for Metz U19 and recently got promoted to their first team. Also Captain for England U17.
Seems promising for a youngster…

That’s a proper Olabe signing and I’m really happy that we’re considering the future, but man 12m on a 16 year old when we’re desperate for a bit of additional depth is hard to swallow at the moment.

The guy has played minutes in ligue 1 this season so he’s not just a random academy player. He must be a serious prospect to get on the pitch at 16.

He’s a beast on FM.

Interesting signing. He’s already played 3 games for the senior national team of Luxembourg but declined his last call-up because getting a 4th cap for Luxembourg would mean he wouldn’t be able play for England or Cameroon anymore, the two other countries he’s eligible for.
Also 16 is *almost* misleading here as he turns 17 in 4 days.

This guy must be a fucking unit.
I’m sure he’ll look great in City blue in a few years when FFP rules force us to sell him for some utterly arbitrary reason 🙄
Also, as a yank I am continually blown away by Euro spending. My hometown MLS team broke the league transfer record last winter spending 16 million for the Belgian golden boot winner (it’s since been set at whatever LAFC paid for Son); and here we are dropping most of that on someone who can’t even have a beer 😂

What would Brian Madjo do if he were here now?
He’d make a plan and he’d follow through, that’s what Brian Madjo’d do.
