Actually most people convicted of this if it’s a first time offence don’t get a custodial sentence they receive a suspended one. We actually don’t have a great deal of prison space in this country. If you locked up every first time sexual offender that was non-violent we would need to build about 5 more large prisons.

Unfortunately, that’s just not true. Pretty much nobody who gets convicted of this as a first offence goes to prison. It’s usually a suspended sentence at most.
