Just five months after arriving on a free transfer, Callum Wilson is now in talks to leave West Ham United, following the club’s surprise £26m move for Lazio striker Taty Castellanos.
Wilson joined the Hammers last summer under former boss Graham Potter on a short-term, heavily incentive-based deal after leaving Newcastle United — but his West Ham future already looks bleak.

This is a massive 6 pointer, but in reality us Hammers are awful and this should be a walk in the park for Forest 😞😞

I can’t remember last time we were relegated, was young at the time, but this season is worst in my living memory.

This club is run so horribly. If we go down least it hurts the board and they will eventually leave. West ham will come back at some point i think a middle eastern or a american ownership will take over this club even if we are in championship due to our size and being in london

Could it be connected to Saturday at Wolves? He has been consistently benched or hooked in games which were in the balance then used for 90 mins at wolves by nuno to make a point,maybe he has just had enough?

The owners are not looking at the championship regardless as the loss would be so great so now throwing money at it way to late
Wilson doesnt speak Portuguese…so prob feels unwanted by Nuno…hes been treated badly so cant blame him wanting to go.
Maybe it's just Wilson's own choice? Nuno's not brought him on a few times when we've desperately needed him to come on, there's games he's not started when he should have.
He's might have thought 2 new CF's have come in… That's me never playing. Sod this I'm off!

Indeed if they're no longer playing for him and want him gone then there's only one result. Personally I think he should have been sacked after Wolves – if it was a 'protest' on Nuno's part for dissatisfaction over transfers or whatever then how does he explain his previous failures?
He's probably annoyed Nuno played him so many minutes. Lets be honest if given the opportunity most of our players would leave

I’m in the same position as you boys- Didn’t want Wilson but he’s done relatively well and changed my mind and it doesn’t make much sense to bin off a proven premier league striker (and that’s what he is, despite his age and injury record) and go with two forwards who are untested in this league and probably not that prolific anyway.
Also agree 💯 with Castellanos. Must be until the end of the season as it makes no sense otherwise, plus we need defenders that aren’t absolute rubbish desperately.
Castellanos is not a panacea. Hardly any goals this season.
He still has ambitions of making the World Cup squad and needs to play
Wilson should be starting games while the new signings bed into the team coming off the bench
Wilson is a 20 goal striker in the championship. Absolutely bonkers to let him leave! I can’t see us staying up so planning for the championship is a must

Regarding Callum Wilson… I'm guessing, but I think his match time with West Ham now appears to be very limited. He's not getting any younger, and undoubtedly wants to play for as long as he can. Money won't be an issue to him so I feel it is purely down to him getting more match time. Can't blame him for choosing that option.
