Bayern are showing interest in signing Vincent Karl, the 14-year-old brother of Lennart Karl, who currently plays in Eintracht Frankfurt's youth academy. The central midfielder is regarded as one of the biggest talents in his age group, and Bayern are considering bringing him to the club

At the same time, Lennart Karl is open to signing a new, improved contract at FC Bayern. His current deal will become a professional contract once he turns 18 next month, earning him around €2m gross per year. Bayern's plan is to quickly extend that contract again and raise his salary to a range of €5-8m per year. Talks have not yet begun

Sort of missleading, as his family is moving to Munich and so they want him to also play here

Can’t say I think that’s generally a good thing for the younger brother.

I feel like younger brothers of successful footballers (which Karl looks like) rarely profit from being constantly compared to their brother. And going to the same place his brother is famous, will always lead to that.

I think the best example for this to be harmful is the Bellingham brother at Dortmund…

That said, if it has family reasons it can make sense, especially if he’s so young as he is. But once he gets near the age of professional football, media can be very harmful.
