Liam Rosenior was in attendance at Fulham to watch his new Chelsea side, but things didn’t go to plan for the Blues.
Marc Cucurella made things difficult for Chelsea in the first-half against Fulham after bringing down Harry Wilson with a tug of his shirt, which resulted in a straight red card for the defender.
Chelsea let Liam Delap lead the line at Craven Cottage and he ended up grabbing a poacher’s goal in the second half for the Blues.
But it was Wilson who netted the winner for Fulham as Liam Rosenior watched on.
It was a performance that showed heart and spirit at times with 10 men, but ultimately the Blues looked vulnerable at the back and just couldn’t create much in the final third.
Marc Cucurella’s red card vs Fulham was Chelsea’s fifth in the Premier League this season! 🔴
How does Liam Rosenior solve Chelsea’s disciplinary problem?

Pedro Neto struggled at Craven Cottage
Pedro Neto was given the nod to start on the left-hand side against Fulham, despite a poor display against Manchester City last time out.
And things didn’t really improve this time round.
Neto provided the delivery for Chelsea’s only goal, striking the post which allowed Liam Delap to fire in.
However, following the red card, Neto was often isolated on the flank. He struggled to get past Antonee Robinson and was frequently forced back to help the ten-man defense cope with Fulham’s overlaps.
He finished with 60 touches, a passing accuracy of 91%, completed one of 12 crosses, had zero shots on target from three attempts, and had an XG of 0.12.
Who does Rosenior NEED to drop after that? 😬

Liam Rosenior cannot let Pedro Neto play on the left wing again
Despite a slight improvement, Neto has been awful at left-wing. We spent £100m on Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens, yet they take up a place on the bench.
Willian Estevao played well at left wing against, Bournemouth too, so it’s not like there is a shortage of options for Liam Rosenior moving forward.
Neto thrives playing off the right with the ability to cut inside and either cross or shoot from distance, whereas he’s very one dimensional on the left.
It’s a change that Liam Rosenior already has to make at Chelsea. If he wants to be a success at Stamford Bridge then these are the small margins.
