Hi all, I follow ligue 1/Strasbourg closely who just appointed Gary O'Neil. I wanted to get your opinion on his time at wolves. He said in his press conference that he doesn't his teams to play transition style football. How did he setup the team when he was at wolves?
Just to give you some context, Strasbourg is a very young time, pretty physical (at least for ligue 1 standards) with a few very technical players. However, the team has been struggling a lot at creating chances but especially because the defense is a bit shaky.

He set the team up differently every game, they looked totally disjointed, lost all discipline, lost even more games, came across as a bit of an arsehole and I never want to see his face again.
He was successful at first then fell flat due to injuries and a badly recruited team. Jeff Shi did him no favors
Everyone here will say he’s horrible and one of the worst managers in the post Nuno era – but in my opinion he’s been the best between Nuno and now.
We had massive holes that needed to be plugged in the summer. We had horrible luck with some refs calls and injuries and then we brought in massive reinforcements that turned us around – not VP.
He’s aggressive, he’s willing to change things up and adapt to different opposition. Hes also not really a good man manager because we had way too many players losing their heads under him.
I think if he had a great team he’d be a fantastic manager but he’s not going to steady the ship
I think he got a lot of unfair stick for his ipad (god forbid someone uses tools to analyse a game instead of shouting a lot). He’ll be a good manager in time.
