Everton were held to a 1-1 draw by Wolves in a chaotic encounter that saw Michael Keane and Jack Grealish sent off late in the game.

The Toffees took the lead in the 17th minute when Keane capitalised on a loose ball to score his third Premier League goal of the season. Everton dominated for much of the first half but were unable to extend their advantage.

Wolves, bottom of the table but showing renewed resilience under Rob Edwards, equalised 21 minutes from time. Teenager Mateus Mané, who scored in the previous league win over West Ham, ran onto a Jorgen Strand Larsen pass and finished calmly past Jordan Pickford.

The match erupted in the final stages. Keane was sent off for an aerial challenge on Tolu Arokodare after a VAR review, and minutes later Grealish received a second yellow card for dissent, leaving Everton to see out the closing moments with nine men.

Despite Wolves’ late pressure, including a long-range effort from Hugo Bueno that was brilliantly saved by Pickford, neither side could find a winner.

The draw maintains Wolves’ recent momentum, giving them five points from their last three matches, while Everton remain in contention for European qualification but will be without Keane for three games and Grealish for one.
