Draftkings and Fanduel?
Are either of these even in the UK?
I mean betting period.
This is what this new startups are all pitching essentially—bet on anything, anytime. I grew up in England where you might have the odd daft market bet; ‘Will the Prime Minister wear a red or blue tie?’ but this is so much worse than that.
Watched all the darts and football throughout Christmas and the bombardment of gambling ads was disgusting. I don’t gamble but can only imagine how hard it is for folks who have an addiction, truly despicable how predatory they are.
On another note, with the stranglehold betting companies have on all sports, anybody who thinks their favourite sport isn’t being fixed in some every way is wrong.
