Shows the curse goes back some still! Right at the beginning for Brian Little at Villa. The lesser spotted David Farrell in the starting 11.
Southgate scored for Palace, I believe this is where Little decided he wanted him. Then he was signed the following summer.
You can watch it all over again here.

Yeah thanks for that.
Mate, ffs, pack it in. People need to stop posting about them. All you’re doing is touching the monkeys bollocks. Cut it out or go look at a picture of Glasner in private and scream or something to get it out of your system in a controlled and safe manner.
Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool…
Time to break the curse

I’d hate to know our aggregate score against them.
Think we need to win 87-0 to even it out
The preceding summer of ’94 was surreal. It was pretty obvious that the Villa side BFR was helming at the time was in need of overhaul but, despite Ellis up front offering him money for transfers, Atkinson refused to buy anyone, saying the squad was good enough. Predictably enough the side struggled and BFR was given the boot. Brian came in, steered the side just about to safety, then the following summer embarked on the biggest turnaround of the squad that I can recall. So many comings and goings lead a fresh, lean, young side into a season where we would finish 4th
