another fact: Greek reporter Christos Sotirakopoulos stated that (paraphrasing) giving so much money for van Dijk was an insane bit of business for Liverpool. He elaborated that (this is funny) Liverpool could (and should) have used the money to acquire both Hummels and Manolas instead. He also mentioned that the people at Bayern, who on his view know a lot about football, would never spend that much money on a defender who (this is the funniest part) does not even rate any better than his former teammates Soares/Yoshida.
I like the guy, but in all fairness, such a statement should be saved somewhere in history.
