  1. Hi Tom nice and good episode! I will be posting my same reaction here I posted under Sophie her Highbury squad episode with James here it goes: ''Hi Sophie and James, I loved the show!! You both make some excellent points. I also got some points to raise, so here it goes! First of all we are top of the league/table! Yes it's true we don't score many goals really so far, only 33 goals scored just yet after 18 matches. Let's not forget that after 18 matches we also have only just conceded just 11 goals against, considering we have had so many injuries for me that's brilliant. GM out for 9 matches, Saliba also has been injured. And for me personally as long as we keep winning(which we do obviously) I don't really care who scores. Yes of course there are some concerns from you guys and fans, and rightfully so but let's not forget we ''only'' have yet to play Spurs away and on matchday 38 of the PL play Manchester City away, here is the other side to it. City still have to play Sunderland away, Spurs away, Liverpool away, Chelsea away and also Manchester United away…!!So really I defenitely reckon that at the very minimum Manchester City won't win all of those 5 away games, they might lose 1 or 2 or get some draws, which would also helps us a lot. And I repeat once more yes we don't score many goals but wwe still have only conceded just 11 goals out of 18, that's some superB defending! And many thanks for that too Raya of course as well. A season ago if you take our total goals for and against and divide it by 2 we would have like 35 goals scored and already 17 goals against. And if you divide our total points of last season by half we would have had 37 points after 19 matches, now already we have 42 points after just only 18 matches.. So yes I do get the ''critique'' about Goykeres and other players but only just 2 losses after 18 matches and 11 goals against considering all the teams we already played away compared to City is just amazing. Let's not forget we also sit first int the CL and are still in both the league and fa cup''

  2. Wish I caught this episode live, good show, I’ll chuck my two cents in, I don’t think we’ve advanced enough this season, from what I’ve seen of Hincapié, I don’t think he’s an improvement on Kiwior, Gyokeres is not an improvement on Havertz and honestly I think Jesus suits the system better than Gyokeres, Arteta needs to improve his rotation and our game control, towards the end of games not just this season we’ve conceded massive goals late on we sit back and defend far to often on a one goal lead, 2 up against Brighton at home we shouldn’t be relying on a wonder save to keep us ahead, we should be 3 clear by half time our finishing and game control needs improved, we are still in a good position I’m just worried how much we’ve spent other than Zubimendi I still see us having the same issues, players returning from injury could prove me completely wrong and I hope they do.

Hearing alot on RB that’s just unlucky Timber, White, Mosquera, same on left Cala, Lewis-Skelly, Hincapié, same depth just unlucky with injuries

  3. I liked the discussion around Gyokeres. Its fair to say he's underperforming. i think the injury and confidence has a lot to do with that. Havertz got one pen and became an absoloute demon. We need the same moment for Gyokeres.

  4. Gyok, you get no time or space in this league. It's frantic, use your strength, your shot, your positioning. I think kai will play will gyok similarly to how merino played for eze to advance to 9. Thats the best we've seen from eze, apart from from deep assists. I wouldn't be surprised to see jesus starting from the left. We've been solid , no we have to kill games early, get up through the gears. Season is starting rounda bout now

  5. To add to the reasons why ppl gave Havertz more time is that initially he wasn't signed as a striker and he was never known to be a clinical striker but with Viktor I think the expectations were very high as many of us thought he's the missing piece.

  6. I would personally go for Jeremy Jacquet and switch systems to a back three. We've played a back 3 before, and we can utilize it again. Fast breaks would benefit Gyokeres and Eze. We still heavily rely on set plays so we should be fine.

    Gyok
    Eze MØ
    PH DC MZ Saka
    Cala Gabi Wilo

  7. If we went for a right sided defender, my 3 options I’d like to see us go for would be (In order): Givario Read from Feyenoord, Tomas Araujo from Benfica or Santiago Mourino from Villarreal. With Jesus & Havertz back from injury, I’d probably prioritise a LW over a ST for now but still think we need another ST in the summer as we can’t rely on our current options to either stay fit or be consistent. My LW optional trio would be: Nico Williams (Clearly Arteta loves this player and thinks he fits our model, so just pay the money and get him, if he doesn’t work, that’s on Arteta but we has no reason not to trust his judgement). Rodrygo or Barcola (However, I can’t see any of them moving in January). If we went for a project player which would cost less but have a better sale value would be: Nusa from Leipzig, Leo Sauer from Feyenoord or Bahoya from Frankfurt. If we went for a ST, he needs to fit our style of play. Gyokeres was never that guy imo. I think these players would flourish in our system: Samu from Porto, Panichelli from Strasbourg or Duran from Al Nassr.
