Rio Ferdinand heads to Carrington for an unmissable sit-down with Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes – his most honest interview yet

For the first time, Bruno Fernandes lifts the lid on the truth behind his Manchester United loyalty, revealing two genuine chances he had to leave, why he stayed, and how modern players’ loyalty is judged differently compared to legends like Francesco Totti, Ryan Giggs and Paolo Maldini

Bruno Fernandes also breaks down the big tactical shift in his game this season — how playing deeper has changed his decision-making, the challenges for him and Kobbie Mainoo who play in that role what the manager demands from him in the No.8 position, and how Italian football influenced his game

Bruno gives rare insight into United’s dressing room dynamics, analysing his teammates and explaining the incredible level of detail he computes on the pitch to ensure he delivers the perfect pass depending on which forward he’s feeding

He also addresses Roy Keane’s criticism and how he really feels about it, the private conversations referees have had with him about body language and discussions with managers Ruben Amorim and Erik Ten Hag about the level of pressure he puts on himself and how it sometimes negatively affects the team’s structure

And in classic Rio Meets style, Bruno opens up about the personalities behind the scenes – the biggest jokers in the squad, what really happens when someone steps out of line, and how he handles moments as captain that fans never get to see

This is Bruno Fernandes as you’ve never seen him: candid, analytical, emotional – and completely unfiltered

  1. It was great to see Heaven and Dorgu in the Sky interview afterwards, both of them looked genuinely happy to get the result.
Both of them seem humble and grateful for the position they're in representing this great club, as a fan that's great to see.

  2. xG is not an indicator of success. It’s an arbitrary performance indicator. It’s like counting the number of times you bought a lottery ticket and using it as an indicator of your chances to winning the jackpot. xG in Bruno’s case shows how much risk he has taken for minimal wins.

  3. That’s spot on Ayden can provide those risky but efficient passes and unlock space for counter or he can also skip pass two all the to midfield and still provide a through ball. Work in progress

  4. bruno Fernandez you have the weight man keep doing it , remember Christiano left us with epl and champions league so carrying Manchester united badge is a war ,hell fire ,you need that spirit of hunger to win that is the mentality…..old Trafford never used to be a place where teams were happy to come enjoy the games without hell , stone heads people who can bite you without fear even when it's 90mins plus zero man ,that is what we love as fans ….love from kenya ❤
