  1. Martinelli is required to mix up his attacking flair with team duties, and thankfully he's a very responsible team player who does a lot of great work tracking back as well, so don't expect this from him every week.

  2. Martinelli was perfectly in his right elements yesterday. My mind was telling me that the defender may want to give him injury as it sure looked like the only escape from his mystery

  3. If a defender gives Martinelli plenty of space to exploit, he'd likely obliterate the defender with his dribbling and technical skills. Unfortunately, many EPL teams choose to play low block against Arsenal, which gives Martinelli very little space to wreak havoc

  4. Martinelli's ability was there for all to see last night. At last, he was attacking the space behind the defender but as always doing it consistently is what matters.

Palace did actually defend well but on the same scale Arsenal were not clinical when they had clear cut chances…..mind you Benitez was on good form….

  5. I love this guy, will be a sad day when he leaves, when he’s on it he is great, work rate, tracking back with pace, nicking the ball back, hope he can stay🤷🏻‍♂️

  6. My money is still on martinelli eventually becoming out man ST. People forget how young he is and some of his best goals have come from being in the ST position. Glad to see he has been working on his dribbling and realised that he's able to use both feet and gone back to beating players and being effective in the final 3rd, just about consistency now. 27/28 I can see him moving into a striker role
