It’s just that we already have a super-young talent on his position that we urgently need to get to speed, and he was our record transfer.
Lenz’s agent was just spotted in Frankfurt btw, while Leverkusen are seemingly on great terms with Bochum, they’ve transferred three talents between the clubs recently. Plus, well, it’d be Wätjen himself whom we ought to bring into the midfield rotation. He’s our player.

One thing all of you should have learned over the years is that we usually come up with unexpected transfers. If half the league + england is already chasing him we are usually not going into that race as it probably ends in a bidding contest.
Btw, if you are a proper scout you will of course notice him.
