Post-match press conference with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after a 3-0 win against West Ham United at Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.

Erling Haaland scored twice with Tijjani Reijnders also on target as City controlled the game. Haaland opened the scoring in the 5th minute, Reijnders made it 2-0 in the 38th minute, before Haaland added his second in the 69th minute. City dominated the ball with 66.4% possession and had 17 shots to West Hamโ€™s 7.

Guardiola jokes that Bernardo Silva is his โ€œweaknessโ€ but admits he was not happy with his performance, insisting City need to play better and more fluid. He also praises Silvaโ€™s competitive edge and ability to deliver in key moments, while pushing the standards for the whole squad.

  1. Really interesting interview. Pep is clearly pushing the blues really hard. Iโ€™ve no problem with that, we have a young side and they are robust enough to be able to take that. Cmon City champions again !

  2. Our Pep is completely nuts.! Thatโ€™s why we love himโ€ฆ Thatโ€™s why we loved Balotelli too. Madchester innit R kid ,โ€ฆcmon City champions again

  3. Why do English journalists struggle with English and find it hard to string together a coherent question?

Plus all they ask is everything apart from tactics.

Maybe they need non English people to ask questions, bet they'd do a far better job

  4. Arteta may spend a billion more and may end up winning the league after all. I hope some day he does. Slot too will win it (again) too, with or without Liverpool.

But there is no manager like Pep. His passion, his vision, his thoughts, his application of the game is at different level. GOAT of Managers!

  5. Bernardo should always be in the same conversation as Aguero, KDB, Kompany, other Silva etc in terms of historical importance for the club. Heโ€™s won everything there is to win at a club with us and played every outfield position apart from centre back. Blue legend

  6. We all know Bernardo is your special boy Pep but playing him out of sentiment is wrong. Bernardo runs a lot but does very little on the ball. We can do so much better. As long as Pep is at the club, Bernardo will never leave.
