  1. Appreciative of Arteta’s work so far but he’s not helping himself at times. He plays few players too much and denies minutes to players in squad desperately in need of minutes. Then when injuries hit, he plays fringe players in squad with no minutes under their belt for far too long like he did with Kiwor last season.
That’s on him, he is poor in giving minutes unless forced.
Frustrating to see. Hope we survive these floods of injuries. COYG!

  2. So we have 1 sub in defence? Think I prefer Cala Hinc Sal Timber and if needs be Cala can drop into a LCB spot and MLS can take LB. But it’s a stretch already, and Norgard was ok but I really don’t want to rely on it.
I can see us fielding MLS Merino Rice Norgard as a back 4 by January 🤦‍♂️

  3. Hi Tom I think Victor is not working and I can see him been sold in the summer at 27years of age and spending 60 million iam afraid we dont have time and no free hit if Isak doesn't work for Liverpool he will be gone.

  4. Giroud was nice to see, but hopefully a one off. He sadly struggles with his english so we struggle to get deep insights like we do from other player analysts. We just like seeing a Gunner. Kieran Gibbs on ESPN was also bad on TV. Walcott, Henry and Wright are great though.

  5. Tom, I'm an avid follower of your channel. I listen to your show every morning, first thing. However, I've started and stopped listening to the last 3 shows since that win against Wolves cause of this Gyokeres thing. You've been sucked into negativity towards a player that we all need to get behind and help become more productive for our club. Arsenal are top of the league with City breathing down our necks. This isn't the time to resurrect all the toxicity, especially with all the injuries we are facing. I'll stop here.

  6. Hi Tom, I knew Gyok will struggle at Arsenal because we don't play the early ball. Take a look at other strikers like Shamack,. The early pass over the top or in the space also a cross, that's why he has a difficult time. IT'S hard for any player who has been in the Arteta style of play to suddenly play that early ball. So my Arsenal family consider that!
The saying goes "OLD HABITS ARE HARD TO BREAK"!

  7. Of course, Tom sides with the manager over Gyokeres, would not expect anything else. It's not like Arteta hasn't had all these prolific strikers under his management for the past 6 years.

    Oh wait…

  8. Hi Tom great show as always. In regards to Ben White I was surprised by Mikel answer to it.

He said after the Gabriel injury that they have learnt a lot from it.

But I still see players being overplayed. The balance to risk dropping points for rotation is greater than risking losing players long term imo.

It’s an area the manager needs to improve on

  9. Good morning Tom!!!

I saw a headline from a source I’ve never seen before, which noted the Declan Rice was yelling at his teammates in the locker room after Wolves.

Can you shed more trustworthy light on this??

  10. judging a player at the end of the season could be too late,, assessment of players should be fluid and ongoing,, arteta should hear what the levelled headed fans say and make difficult decisions for the good of the club without favouritism

  11. Hi Tom, why is nobody talking about the impact of Timber’s uncontrolled movement on VG? I’ve seen him several times taking headers off VG in the Center forward position. At Man city when a cross comes to the centre, only one player goes for it. Timber is short and also a poor header so why is he frequently butting heads with VG?

  12. Tom, you’re a hypocrite. You dedicate 10 % of your program whipping up negative sentiment against Victor Gyokeres. That’s stealthy campaign. Find something else and talk about. Leave this guy alone.

  13. Eze has worked best when playing that (false 9) as he just shoots, or he drops to 10. Eze has only played that particular role a couple times , I still think odegaard is better deeper. Can we talk of gyok like this yet? All those strikers missing out on a pre season have been crap, also we all knew gyok probably wasn't that 'fit'. I'm giving him for time & hope he proves the doubt wrong.

  14. I heard a comment about playing wide too much instead of through the middle . The response was if the system is broke why are we top? Is it not possible that the frequency wide is just too high without the system being broken? Arteta is a % manager and more goals come from wide i believe . However, reducing that frequency 1. Makes us less predictable 2. Gives Gyökeres more chances. Sounds like a good idea to me anyway .
