Chris with some very level headed takes. Seems like a great teammate!
Excellent interview, and not because I'm a Sounders fan. He said, much more politely, that the supposed adults in the room, such as Berhalter and Gio's mom, need to be as self-aware as Gio, who learned from his mistakes.
If only he was as good a player as he is a leader and public speaker
When are they going to interview Leone Masesi?
So he just confirmed Greg had it out for Gio even post-acceptance by the team. Greg should never be allowed back into program.
The real story here is Roldan taking a lower wage so Seattle can buy another DP. Team guy through and through!
wow interview with the bench warmer that should never had made the team….so impressive!
who's next aaron long?
Roldan don't get enough respect in fotball/soccer that's a fact
Zidane not good for national team, he used to players with a high level of talent and not a tournament coach. The Moroccan coach or one similar imo
cristian roldan next usmnt coach?!?!?
I still can't believe we brought this scrub to the World Cup. Absolutely useless player and I hope I never see him in a USMNT shirt ever again.
Roldan setting the example for Hispanic-Americans. Meek individual with a heart for the game . Reminds me of my days playing with Real So Cal and knowing that the team comes before my desires to get more minutes.
There’s a leader
Basically saying berhalter gotta go..if u lose locker room ur done
"Gio has a long future" means get rid of Greg Berhalter. That wet wipe of the manager will lead to tears in 2026. Mark my words, he will the WC about him
Greggy Beerholder absolutely has to go
A little too close to Christiano Ronaldo ngl 😂
The Reyna thing is overshadowing the actual performance and accomplishments of the team because that was what the interviewers were asking about the most. The player was just answering questions.
Roldán said 4 games in 10 days took a toll on them when he didn’t play a single second, we all knew he was just a waste of a spot
In many countries like Italy, Germany, Netherlands, if a player acts up like this kid Reyna, they would send him home to his snitch mama. Who Reyna think he is?! He hasn’t accomplished anything. If I were in charge of US soccer Federation I’d back GB. Personally I never believed GB was good enough to lead USMNT but between my coach and a spoiled brat I’d definitely stand with my coach. Mark my words, Reyna will never be somebody.
Herc summarized my argument from another post very well. The main guy at fault for the comedy we are witnessing is Greg Berhalter – not because of his kicking of his wife 31 yrs ago, or his questionable calls during games, but because he went and used an embarrassing example of clashing w a player that had already been put behind by the team, and he did it just a few weeks after all was done, so he unnecessarily opened ip a wound that was in process of healing for a young player. Any coach who wants to preserve his relationship w a team will know that’s a big No No.
yall hating on roldan are stupid, he was never there because of his talent hes a locker room guy and if youve ever played football at any level you know how important they are
Ggg is not a good coach
And pepi didn’t deserve a spot and gio was a giant baby
Herc better watch his mouth. I do not appreciate the dc united slander.
No the best team was not always on the field. If you are the number 1 or 2 best player in the squad and you’ve proven yourself then you have every right to question your coach.
Christian Roldan is the heart and soul of the Seattle Sounders.
A million times ID prefer roldan to play over morris or ferreira.
