Really want Ake would be brilliant signing
Nat Phillips has played something like 10 PL games. All Phillips will do is force Zouma to the left-side where he has looked poor. Would be a terrible signing
Wind has missed 60 games over the last 3-4 seasons due to knee injuries, think he's one to avoid
My fear is…. Alex kral as 4th choice cb stop gap
Dawson, Diop and Zouma are right-sided. Ogbonna and Cresswell are left-sided. Think a left-footed/left-sided defender who can play centre-back on the left of a two or a three would be good. If he can do a job on the flank, even better.
Ake too expensive, buy or loan a cheaper alternative and spend the money elsewhere in the team.
Nat Philips is a right footed and right sided centre back. Moyes wants a left footed and left sided centre back like Tarkowski in place of injured Ogbonna.
Is Phillips better than Diop ?????

Ake ON LOAN is decent cover for when Diop is playing for Morocco in the ANC and to replace Dawson if signed permanently at he end of the season.
I have heard the Ake links and I find them very hard to believe. Man City spent over 40 million on him so they will be expecting more which there is no chance we will do. Even a loan move seems unlikely. However if we did manage to get him I would be absolutely thrilled with that signing. He would suit us perfectly. Him and Zouma partnership? Give us the league title already.

I wouldn't have even considered it before the rumours because I think his out of our reach, but I would go all out for rudiger. He would do wonders for our team.

Geo I understand your opion about what to with Ogbonna… but he's 33-34 out of contract and with a dodgy acl now, the smart move is to replace him now and see him out the door gracefully with the respect he deserves.

I know it's a cliche and they always try to make players look good, but the YouTube compilations on Arthur Cabral are tasty. Also heard a rumours about a couple of Football Manager wonderkids alongside Hlozek, in Darwin Nunez and Julian Alvarez, who are both sizzling too.
Todays game ,even though we won , showed we need a left sided centre back – nether Zouma or Diop are comfortable there ,althoug hdiop is defensivley pretty good there , neither are comfotable enough on the ball on that side .Ake would be a good addition for that reason , not sure we'd get him though
Think Ake will go to Newcastle on loan, Edie Howe has the money to spend and trusts him to fit in with his other ex Bournemouth players.
Personally I’d say another left footed centre back would be ideal because our system relies of our build up to attack from our left side mainly but now it’s gone from our stongpoint to a weakpoint also if we got a young left footed cb he could hopefully take over as ogbonna gets on
Geo – Nat Philips is more realistic and will cost less than Ake🤔 but we must get in a striker, however we have options in the under 23’s,Oko-flex & Perkins as potential backups ⚒⚒⚒
