Liverpool played as a team, the shape was perfect and the team defended as a unit.
Salah seemed to think he could land a knockout blow by trying to get Slot fired. He chose the moment when Slot was at his weakest point in his Liverpool tenure, assuming the club would take his side. He also had a blow-up with Klopp and never apologized for his selfish play, he doesn’t even try to hide it.
When I saw him insisting on taking corners and free kicks, I knew he’d lost the plot. At that point, it all looked like stat padding.
