Seems to me that the players have already accepted the fate of relegation and won't at least fight to stay up. End of the day, if you at least fight to survive then get relegated, then at least the next season in the championship, that fight is still there but if you go down with a whimper, then it's near impossible for a manager to pick the team back up. Happened with so many teams who have been in the premier league and are now languishing in league 1 or 2.
