The same "forget the money" argument Gabby use to argue for Sterling…. Sterling SHOULD also forget the money IF he wants to play.
It's SO BLATANTLY CLEAR Sterling wants to cash. And the Club is fulfilling it.

As soon as football changed over the last 20 years whereby a player stays around at a Club now more down to a contract rather than because of their abilty, performance and what they actually bring to the Club and the fans, I lost my love for the game. Sterling is earning a fortune on a lot of Chelsea fans' time. He's taking up a position and wages that could be being spent on a player or players making their title bid more concrete. Totally selfish.

Sterling won plenty at Man City so he’s achieved a lot. Chelsea will need to pay him off. Paying him £10M – £15M should allow him to make up the difference elsewhere , revive his career and Chelsea save some money.

Chelsea gave him that contract so he is entitled to be paid it. He can deal with not playing and take them for all the money they agreed to pay him.
Why would training with kids or on his own affect his mental health ? I wouldn’t mind training at the gym on my own or playing football for a few hours a day whoever it’s with. It doesn’t make sense. He is paid so much money and playing football, that isn’t a mental health issue . Come to the real world there is no mental health problem there.
