  2. Happy birthday diogo Jota I will remember in my heart Diogo Jota was a Portuguese professional footballer who tragically passed away in a car accident in July 2025. He was known for his time as a forward and winger for Liverpool FC and the Portugal national team.

    Career Overview

Jota began his professional career in Portugal with Paços de Ferreira before signing with Atlético Madrid in 2016. He spent loan spells at FC Porto and Wolverhampton Wanderers, eventually signing permanently with the latter and helping them achieve promotion to the Premier League.

He joined Liverpool in September 2020 and became a key player, known for his clinical finishing, pace, and work rate. During his five seasons at Liverpool, he won the Premier League (2024-25), the FA Cup (2022), and the Carabao Cup (2022, 2024).

Following his death at the age of 28, Liverpool permanently retired his number 20 jersey across all teams in his honor.
