A massive shunt for rookie Pepe Martí, who flew spectacularly over the top of Jaguar’s Antonio Felix da Costa, and thankfully, landed safely.

  1. Pepe Martí has been a senseless fool behind the wheel his entire career. This would've been avoided if he had the ability to pay attention. Bird and Rossiter should be ashamed for blaming the veteran drivers when they did their job properly.

  2. 2nd SaoPaulo ePrix in a row with a Porsche powered car roll-over 🤕
Glad Kiro Cupra driver Pepe Martí is OK aswell Porsche factory driver Nico Müller and António F. Da Costa wich were involved in this big crash 🙏
The roll-bar and halo did an amazing job as safety factors

  3. Pepe apparently approached the VSC like he would in F2. FE they have to slow down to 50kph which the drivers ahead did very quickly. Thats what caught him out the most.

  4. The absolutely enormous, overdone reaction to minor accidents on motorsports coverage is such a pain. He was barely moving when he crashed and was obviously completely fine.

  5. So Formula E had 4 deadly airborne+backflip crashes in every generation:-

2014, Gen 1 – Nick Heidfeld (Season 1, Race 1, the very first race in its history) at Beijing

2021, Gen 2 evo – Alex Lynn at Diriyah

2024, Gen 3 evo – Pascal Wehrlein at Sao Paulo

2025, Gen 3 Evo – Pepe Marti at Sao Paulo.

  6. I think he needs more experience in managing a FCY period because he clearly failed to slow down when the FCY had been called by race control

  7. Didn’t even look that bad unless you’ve never watched racing before. Which, fair enough, that’s the formula e target audience

  8. Sorry but the copium of the commentary team here is staggering.
"he just got caught out by it"
"he's new to Formula E so he hasn't experienced a FCY before"
"those 2 guys blocking the track and braking, that was a bit unnecessary"

They are told over the radio a FCY is coming and its also very clearly on his dash for a number of seconds and he at no point slows down
Dangerous and a liability to the safety of the others around him and himself if he cant handle a pretty standard situation like that
