The FIFA World Cup draw at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., divided a record 48 teams into 12 groups of four.
Six spots won’t be determined until March, when 22 teams will face off in playoffs.
The defending champions will take on Austria, Jordan and Algeria in Group J.
“Remember what happened to us against Saudi Arabia?” Scaloni jokingly asked journalists.
Argentina lost that group stage match 2-1, but after making several changes to the starting lineup, it went on to win the title.
“We will have to play our best at every match, so there’s no rest,” he said. “We know that in our flesh.”
