SVM Automotive, based at Southfields Farm, Ferndown, claimed the Newcomer Dealership of the Year title at the awards, described as the motor trade’s Oscars.
Founded in 2023 by entrepreneur Jonathan Chorley-Burdett, the business has rapidly expanded.
The site now features space to display up to 50 vehicles.
Companies across the UK compete in the Used Car Awards, with each undergoing a rigorous judging process and a mystery shopping test.
Mr Chorley-Burdett said he was ‘‘gobsmacked’’ to have received a Used Car Award.
He said: ‘‘Building up our business from where we started to where it is now makes me extremely proud.
‘‘There have been a few problems along the way, but lots of successes as well and this is certainly the icing on the cake.’’
James Baggott, the editor-in-chief of Car Dealer Magazine, commended SVM Automotive’s outstanding performance during the judging stages.
He said: ‘‘Their success is to be applauded.
‘‘Congratulations!’’
TV host and compere Mike Brewer further applauded the dealership, highlighting the strength it has shown since its inception.
The awards have celebrated the UK’s top used car industry operators since 2012.
