An early header from Mikel Merino and second-half stoppage-time strike from Bukayo Saka condemned Brentford to a 2-0 defeat against Premier League leaders Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

Kevin Schade came the closest to scoring for the Bees when his first-half header was saved onto the bar by David Raya.

  1. This Arsenal team is very scary. Kudos to kellehar for saving so many shots from going in. Arteta should ask Saka to be less selfish, had he passed it to gyokares who was absolutely free and at the right spot to tap in an easy goal.

  2. Arsenal must carry on playing on missed opportunities like this, come later stages of the UCL it will show and will be the decider as to whether they go all the way or bottle it…

  3. That was deliberately to lose against Arsenal, or why weren't you playing your best players?
I've always liked Brentford, but this is clearly unfair competition and against the spirit of sports. I have always like Brentford but after that game I hope you get relegated.

  4. Saka was somewhat selfish with the second goal, Gyokerez was in a better position if only he'd get that pass

Saka was lucky the ball went in and thatbaction didn't cost us else, he would have been heavily criticised

Haaland gets all the passes so why won't he be scoring for fun?

Dembele is one selfless player I know, the team first before personal glory!

Nwaneri has that selfishness in him too

    Our players can/should do better!
