He changed all 3 central midfielders when the only one that deserved to be put in the Starting mid was Renato Sanches.
I'd use Renato, Perreira, Bruno Fernandes

Santos wasnt wrong in changing the midfield cz Bruno was walking around, Danilo played so bad he was punched by Lloris to keep him out and Moutinho is a managers player, only playing as instructed and never his natural game. Ruben Neves hardly came on and then suddenly Palhinha drops in.
Sanchez Moutinho and Neves should have started. Jota shouldnt have been on thjs team and CR7 should have played there. With Andre Silva as CF.

I'm portuguese, and this Euro performance was the biggest display of cowardness I've ever seen from a coach. It's surreal how this individual managed to castrate a world class attacking team and reduce it to a 3rd grade defensive wall. Unbelievable.

Using Jota, moutinho, carvalho, Danilo, semedo. Just tells you everything you need to know about Santos. Jota offered nothing. One season at Liverpool and you think he’s competent at world stage. You have the best aerial threat on earth and you have no one on field that could cross.

As much as I admire Fernando Santos and I'll always be grateful to him for bringing us the first Euro in our national teams history… he has a fair share of blame in what happened against Belgium. How can you not play the 3rd best scorer in Bundesliga when you desperately need to score goals and Jota plays all 4 matches when he's clearly out of form?! Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes were 2 disapointments so I can't blame him for not starting Bruno against France and Belgium.
I am forever thankful for Santos and what he accomplished at Euro 2016. Santos time has come and gone his tactics worked for the players and the team in 2016. The same approached failed at 2018 world cup. This team was way to talented to sit back and allow their opponents to control the game. If Santos stays on for the world cup which i doubt he will be removed with the world cup coming soon unless the players rebel against him or he loses his next match or two, portugal isnt going far which is a huge shame!
