as a Canadian , i can safely assume that Canada will get 3rd place in the group, there's no way Belgium and Croatia is going to fck up in that group. Belgium still has their golden generation for the last time, and Croatia still has tons of experience from last worldcup when they got to 2nd place. but gosh i would love for Canada just to get past the group stage by some freaking miracle or just all player give it their all in 3 games and then they can fail at round of 16 is fine lol

Rough first half for the canucks. Really ugly defending. We were much better in the 2nd half, and could argue we almost deserved to claw a goal back
I love the positivity and the support and will be proud either way, but for us to get a consistently competitive national team investment needs to be made in clubs and a national league, I don't see any other way.
Davies can’t play central just because he’s our “best player” might as well place him up front and drop David if you want an all out attack. He should be high on left side.

Park the bus against Belgium, try to win versus Croatia and Morocco. It’s a really tough group and yes realistically we don’t make it out the group stage but if we don’t believe in our boys, who will? Go in with confidence because we really have nothing to lose! Belgium and Croatia have more pressure to perform well, and pressure causes upsets!

CONCACAF doesn't even start to compare to CONMEBOL. . .just a whole other level of play in South America. . .even the worst teams in CONMEBOL are better than pretty much all the CONCACAF teams (maybe with the exception of Venezuela and Bolivia (but even Bolivia has been to the World Cup) . . .if Uruguay was in CONCACAF, I would suspect there would be a good chance they'd be first in the group. . .the thing is they have to play against teams like Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador. If Canada gets one win at the World Cup or a tie, that would be great. Canada just needs to play against much better nations and learn by losing to superior teams and growing from the experience. Belgium and Croatia are even better than Uruguay. . .Canada might be able to pull off a tie but the other teams would be having to have a really off day and sandbagging it for those matches. . .
