I know I will get a lot of pushback for this, but Emre – despite some blaming him for the goal conceded – was the most solid contributor in the back line. He has been overly criticised in my opinion, despite the series of frustrating errors in the past few seasons.
He won most of his challenges and provided good passes to the wings and central areas when needed (95% pass accuracy). He will still get hate regardless of this, but you can’t argue with an 8.2 rating (highest in our team). Meanwhile Schlotterbeck managed a 6.5, which surprised me too.
