Embargoed pre-match embargoed press conference with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola ahead of Fulham v Manchester City in the Premier League at Craven Cottage.
Guardiola gives an update on Phil Foden’s contract situation, saying he hopes the midfielder stays for his entire career and praises his growing leadership on the pitch. He discusses Foden’s ambition to become a future captain and says it depends on his behaviour on and off the pitch.
Guardiola defends Gianluigi Donnarumma’s adaptation to the Premier League after several yellow cards for protesting and insists he is “adult enough” to learn without intervention. He reflects on the 3-2 win over Leeds United, admitting City reopened the game with mistakes but were still in control overall.
He outlines the need for goals from across the team, referencing past seasons where players like Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero contributed heavily. Guardiola stresses the importance of the December and January schedule with eight Premier League games in five weeks plus domestic cup fixtures, confirming it is too early to discuss January transfers.

beanymasports you too late mate
Pep humming. Happy days 🎉
Pep is the greatest 🐐💙
This guy's insanity is hilarious at times hahahahah
10 years of Pep press conferences and you still ask him about player contracts… thank god you guys are "journalists & reporters" and can't think of any good questions ever… Do you not know Pep by now? He will never say anything that causes headlines or internal or contracts
Win or lose like it or not he is the best coach ever. Even numbers say so
That's all great. But when will you sign a proper right back? Having said that, non of what has happened is Nunes's fault. How about another good midfielder to help out Gonzalez a bit, since Rodri doesn't seem to fully recover 😢? And while yoy're at it, remind Gvardiol how much he cost the club, how he should play like someone who cost 77 million pounds.
He is happy arsenal drew to chelsea..
Nunez will never change, he puts us under pressure giving the balls away too cheaply. Khusanov must come back we can keep a clean shirt.
Pep needs to stop being too nice to his players en instruct them to do what they're supposed to do on the pitch en have that aggressiveness,to take risk passes to win games en use haaland properly to score goals or wingers to score too not relying on haaland only coz it's soo pathetic
These journalists ask dumb questions. All they want to know about is Phil Foden, Phil Foden, Phil Foden.
Nunes always has a Mangala moment in him,he makes rash challenges, gets caught out of position and worst of all overconfidence in his defensive ability, city need to sign proper intelligent right back. City in control and cruising Nunes makes a poor pass in a dangerous position and then gets a second chance to clear the ball but plays the ball back into Calvert Lewin path. Pep stated Nunes can’t play in midfield because he’s not intelligent enough well I don’t think he’s intelligent enough to play full back either.
Best and short answers❤
Manchester City ❤❤❤😂😂
Lets go tonight against Fulham boys! 💪💙
