Going back to Mainoo, he is silky but United need muscle and Mainoo would be better suited playing in Spain where it’s less physical.
Mainoo has great dribbling ability but no midfielder who did great at United was as small as him. It’s that simple.

Connor Gallagher fits Rúben Amorim’s system better because his high energy and pressing style match what Amorim wants from his midfielders.
