It’s been a month since the USMNT was knocked out of the World Cup 2022 and there has been no news on Gregg Berhalter from US Soccer. Gregg’s contract expired on new year’s day and the silence coming from soccer house in Chicago. What does this mean for the possibility of the future of the USMNT coaching position? Is Berhalter getting renewed? If not, when will we hear about a new coach?

gotta get rid of gregg. hopefully we get some #metoo accusers coming forward claiming he raped them. usually it's the people that pander that are most guilty. there's gotta be something in greggs closet: rape accusations or black face pictures. IGAF at this point, just want that douche gone.

Note: Tab Ramos was also the first American Soccer Player to get his own Snickers Commercial in the 90's and was possibly the most technical player we had before Gio and Pulisic (Maybe Dempsey also matched him well too)

Looking for excuse; and now they have one. It takes a UK paper .The US Soccer Fed revealed Tuesday investigating Gregg Berhalter for a 1991 incident in which he kicked the woman who then married him.
I want us to loose now. I want a weak concacaf team to best us. If this is the way gregg leaves then SO B IT. If we wanna have a chance in the copa america and wc he HAS to leave

USSF crew doesn't even have the spine to let him go on something as obvious and credible as performance or imcompetent team selection (to be fair, probably the USSF's idea), or even something as weak as "relationship with the fanbase". No. They have to resort to cancellation methods of appealing to people that aren't even real twitter accounts or who don't watch USMNT soccer. Which doesn't give me or anyone looking for the head coaching job much faith going forward. His fully repaired personal life with his family is now apparently media fodder. Sad what they didn't do to a bad coach, and sadder still what they did do to the same decent man.
I hope they get a new coach….and whoever it is, they don’t force a system on the players but instead implement a system that fits the best 11. Also they don’t have favorites but only select the best 23-26 players available.
This Berhalter shit has spiraled out of control. I almost want Tab Ramos to be the new manager. At least temporary manager. Seems like the only person within US soccer that’s reasonable.

Good gravy, between the WC, the leadership conference, and the news about his wife, what a Mickey Mouse show this coaching issue is turning out to be. At this point my read on it is that US Soccer wants to get rid of him but they don't feel like they can justify it on performance alone so they're looking for another excuse. Like, sure, it's entirely possible that Claudio Reyna leaked the info after getting pissy about Gio's WC, but ultimately it's US Soccer that wants to end his relationship with US Soccer, not whatever nebulous "individual" Berhalter''s talking about.
I don't know which I find more bothersome. That (a) US Soccer is trying all this poor man's cloak and dagger crap rather than just being upfront, telling GGG "Thank you for your service," and moving on, or (b) that between not having an extension and this news coming out, Berhalter is apparently too daft to put two and two together (Hey, Gregg, that call is coming from inside the room!)
At this point, I don't know what the delay is. Just can him. Draw a line under the whole sorry episode and move on towards finding a new manager. A real, proper one this time – stop limiting the pool with all that "But the coach needs to speak English" crap.

It turns out the Claudio Reyna's mom gave USSF the info on GGG kicking his soon to be wife. How did USSF not know about the when they hired GGG? Or did they know and just ignored it?

1- Reyna is sport director of Austin and benched GGG’s son mostly of the temporary and didn’t renew he’s contract
2- GGG in retaliation bench Gio and leak the problem with Giovanni,
3- Gio’s mother feel that GGG was putting her son in bad position even after the WC, and put GGG as example that he made a bigger mistake and been forgotten, and Ernie to wash his hands put that publicly
4- the only victims are Rosalin and Gio
You got it right. There is no accountability at US Soccer. This is what happens when the business side of the game is more important than the building the sport part. We have no leadership at the helm. I supported Berhalter and he has no business staying now after Qatar. Why? Because he has taken our team as far as he can. The USSF is frozen right now and unable to make a decision. This is sad and pathetic, especially with all the quality we have in the current roster and all the young prospects coming up on the pipeline. Bielsa is a great option right now because we have all the pieces available to play the kind of soccer he prefers to play. We will certainly do better if we kept Berhalter. I pray that we get a new coach. It is time!

It's pitiful that Gio Reyna's mommy is the one who went crying to the USSF that the coach was treating her baby unfairly even though Berhalter had a fight with his girlfriend (now wife) 32 years ago and was forgiven. We have a new Queen Karen…
