Mate I'm Sporting fan and Sporting didn't ask a loan to buy a new stadium, the government financed it because of the euro 2004, and the ticket sales have actually increased over the last year and it had decreased because of Sporting's bad results but last season he had a fantastic season almost winning the league so now the he have been packing at least 85 per cent of the stadium's capacity in every game. Our Qualification to the Champions League this season has helped the club's financial problems massively and we're constantly selling good players for reasonable prices so our the death is almost gone. Therefore we don't need to sell William Carvalho.
we need him and his physicality in the midfield, if you watched yesterdays game, we had none. Kondogbia and Bakayoko were very physical and Mikel is not comparable to them. a partnership of Ramsey and Carvalho and we can challenge for the title.

as far as i know Portuguese Liga stats are not very public. only stats i could find on Carvalho was the one WC game he played but, in that one game he made 4 tackles. He could offer a very different option to the midfield with his strength. knowing Wenger though, a surprise could be coming deadline day.
Imo I don't want him to come, we can get better, way better, carvalho has had one ok season in Portugal which in that league means jack, if we want to win the league and do more in the champion's league we need world class players not carvalho

I came here to join the discussion about carvalho to arsenal. However, I got sidetracked in the first ten seconds when he said he makes 8000 pounds a week. Holy crap dude thats 200/hour for a 40 hour week and around 400000/year. Doctors, Engineers, men and women who put there life on the line, and other people who work hard as shit to succeed in their profession don't even make that. It's really crazy to think about…
