It is fair to say that Casemiro has surprised us all this season, and I mean that in the best possible way.

I’ve got something to say about Casemiro, about how he’s playing, about what’s been said about him, about what the future holds and the World Cup this summer.

Because right now, he deserves all the praise he is receiving, so lets talk about him.

  1. Now I want to know, if you do think United should keep Casemiro next season then what terms do you think it would need to be on for it to be right for the club? Genuinely interested to know your responses on this.

  2. Leave the football before the football leaves you? Says the man who's milking every ounce of his playing days as a Sky "pundit".

  3. I agree that Casemiro is indeed playing well but my observation with players in the last year of their contracts, they generally play well. They get a new contract and default to mediocrity.

  4. Last few years he has been kinda mid. Not knowing what to do with him. I hardly knew who he was.
Now he fits. He’s consistent and reliable.
Perhaps we cut wages, get a new primary CM and have him as an excellent sub so that he can lead and coach younger players.

  5. Even though we will sign younger midfielders in the summer they won’t be champions league winners or premier league winners already, I would still love for them to be able to learn from someone like Casemiro who’s been a winner at the top a man who’s won La liga and 5 champions league trophy’s

  6. Now people know that position is the most important one in the field .. he plays good the team plays good he gets off the team crumbles…we need someone in there who can go out and out everytime he plays (Anderson like)..Also would love to see him get an extension we need players like him and Maguire on bench(Not starters)

  7. I think he should just play out this season as his last…he seems to be at that golden twilight stage where he has so much experience, even his lack of pace won't expose him.. he'll maintain his good form and be off to the US or Saudi next summer.. His wages can pay the 2 CMs we sign next summer😅

  8. I am impressed with how Case and Amorim have adapted to get the most out of him. But I think he has significantly declined in terms of what we initially signed him for. A midfielder who can cover ground and who is defensively great. A lot of what he can do is in possession and he’s gotten skinned out of possession in several moments this season. He can defend in small spaces, but not in big areas of spaces (what we need). His wages are an also massive problem. Another issue is previous reports of him acting like putting himself above managers. I believe it to because when Ten Hag was under serious scrutiny, the media were vicious against him. He was allegedly benched in the FA Cup final, mainly because he of disrespect to the manager. Media would be biting to make him look like the bad guy to his players. I believe he was one of the players who played a role in getting Ten Hag sacked. Culturally something that team is too familiar with at that club. Who’s to say after some bad games and conflict that doesn’t happen again if things start to unravel with Amorim? I hope that doesn’t happen. But if it does, you have an opportunity to move on from a player and he’s kept for the wrong reasons in my opinion.

  9. You’ll look less pacey when you go from playing in midfield 3 of prime Kross and Modric vs playing in a two man midfield and your partner is a CAM out of position that’s twice the work load

  10. i hear you – from a club perspective, Casemiro is too expensive even though he has been excellent. However, why would casemiro take a pay cut after improving his performances.

  11. we can kept case for 90 minute on the pitch but we need to sacrifice the striker, add in ugarthe for legs , and drop bruno in front of them for ball progression and played vertically to close up the game using a freee roam mbuemo, and leaving cunha uptop to strech their defence, cunha can hustle for the ball and bring the ball further up top 🎉🎉🎉🎉

  12. appreciate the cassimero appreciation but Cass is a level above players like ugarte…he's above mount ugarte ect…most decorated player a 50% wave drop for on of your top players and performers kinda don't make sense

better to let players go who have had the chance and are not making the grade like dalot

  13. Sam love the channel and your views on Utd but couldn’t disagree more on the rolling contract for age 30. With the advancement in sports science 33 is like the new 30 so that old policy wouldn’t make sense today. Also the age should depend on position. GK/CB have much longer productive careers than Strikers or Forwards. Lastly Utd are not in a position to leverage such a club friendly deal when we aren’t even competing for PL or UCL where players want to play for the club so it’s an unrealistic idea.

  14. Casemiro tiene 33 años, nisiquiera lo considero viejo, mira a Modric con 40 años jugando todos los partidos del Milan o a Xhaka de 33 años en Sunderland que está en su Prime

  15. I’ve been saying this but I think a 50% pay cut is too much, bordering on insulting.

A 1 year rolling contract keeps him hungry. It protects the club against injury and lack of form. But anything south of £200k is unfair and would dincentivise him. Next season he will be taking our new midfield signing under his wing. He will be taking the pressure off that signing and he will continue to be the squad’s driving force, leader and benchmark. That’s worth £220k a week in my opinion.

  16. Personally I like to appreciate players putting in efforts, but the reality is, he’s got to go like every other member of that current midfield. A complete revamp in that midfield is needed. The fact that he’s been our best pivot says a lot about the quality of our team than his personal quality. Casemiro at 30% is still better than all the other options in that midfield and this isn’t funny.
