You've got James, White, Lewis, Livramento, Quansah, Spence, Walker. He's at least eight choice
Trent shouldn’t be playing for England again. He makes Martinelli look like Ronaldinho. He’s a defensive liability and world class wingers will have a field day against him.
He has the creativity and vision no one else in the squad has. Look at the Mo situation with out him. James is a shoo in because he's Tommy's golden boy and he also seems immune to criticism from any parts of the media despite being appalling at tracking back and making frequent defensive mistakes
The funniest thing is the guy was talking about winning the Ballon d’Or but can’t even start for his own national team.
Doesn’t even start for his club and he isn’t exactly international standard. For Liverpool he played in a team that played high lines and very fast counter attacking football where you can take more risks and get away with conceding if you can outscore the opponent. For England you can’t concede silly goals at major tournaments. Top International teams go into tournament with a defence that will concede them the least goals even if they don’t have the strongest attacking options because good defences win you the big international prizes
The problem with British media is that, they’re always searching for a talking point. That’s why they’ve never won anything. If they continue like that, they will never win a major trophy. They should take a note from Spain and France

Trent is like Beckham . If you are going to play them in a defensive position you can only ever play them as a wing back . Beckham played under Glenn Hoddle as a wing back in a few games and he put in his best ever England performances. It was against a really good Italian team too.
Media seem to like to create stories and make hills look like a mountain. Trent is fine. Only moved a few months ago.
