That was a very bad performance from portugal…plain and simple ,also i think not having a established team will be the downfall of this coach and team…choose your best squad and stick with that squad . But hey i am portuguese and i will always support portugal…but hey if you struggle against Ireland i don't really see portugal doing good in wc …lol that's even if they qualify….so maybe its even better not to qualify to just save the supporters of portugal the dissapointment . Like, he has a lot to answer for. They set up with a line so high, they invited the long ball. And then he saw it (we all saw it) and he didn't change until far too late. Christ, after 10 mins it looked "on" for us and the fact we didn't score 4 against this absolutely mad set up is insane. And he says "we knew what Ireland were going to do" – absolutely insane.

Portugal basically overloaded the final third of the pitch from the get go. You’d think they were the team that needed the win. The warning signs were there at 0-0. They should have focused on keeping possession and drawing ROI out of the box. Not overload, then lose the ball and give ROI ridiculously dangerous counter attacking opportunities.

Once i saw the line up..respectfully and saw we didn’t have pace to get in behind ireland and create a little chaos i knew it was going to be a bad game. Credit to ireland they did what they had to do. Martinez line up today was poor but I’m sure there was behind the scene reasons for it. I expect we will have pace next game.
