As a Chelsea fan I can’t lie I like the player but I was confused as to why we were looking at him because for me he’s too similar of a profile to Cole Palmer and Xavi needs to be a starter so I didn’t see a long term starting roll for Xavi here. I actually like that our pivot leak is to Fermin because he actually provides something new with directness and pace from the 10 which is something we don’t have as much of although obviously we can play Joao pedro there. But ye a little bummed but not really that disappointed from my end.

This is very good for you guys Xavi bring another level of creativity and quality on the ball that you have been lacking

As a Chelsea fan, I really liked and wanted the player. but it was very confusing on where he was gonna play cause palmer got that #10 role, right wing is locked in and we signed Garnacho on top of Gittens on the left hand side. It was always gonna make sense for Spurs though with Maddison and kulusevski injured, he would have a free run on the #10. not pleased by not signing him but not that fussed as well but he's a really good player and he fits your team well than ours.

"he doesn't have that explosive factor" … perhaps, but he's still only 22. That explosive factor may still come and, don't forget, people said the same about Luka Modric

As a Chelsea fan, I'm indifferent. Him or Fermin aren't players we NEED.

As a Chelsea I'm not that bothered. We've made far too many signings anyway. It's a blessing in disguise.

After Chelsea getting the interest known for Xavi and Garnacho, I felt that they'll only sign one of them. If Chelsea gonna sign players they'll go hard and fast but this deal is dragging for too long. After Garnacho here we go, I'm sure Chelsea will not gonna sign him as Chelsea need to provide space for Paez next season.

Lol! Simons is fast. Not like a typical winger fast, but he sure is faster than your 10`s. Faster than Wirtz, cole palmer and other 10`s… but he`s strength might be a problem in England, but not in CL
