Sounded to me like he blamed the players, and tried to justify a 6th? Consecutive loss by saying the competition wasn't worth it. Fuck him.
Unfortunately, this season you will lose many times and won't have a place in the top five. You were lucky last season because it was Jürgen Klopp's team. But this season you will pay a heavy price.
Imagine spending 500 million and complaining about squad depth. Terrible spending/outgoings management.
