      Agree. GG's situation is that he didn't make much money in Holland.
      The guy is 28 year old and a very young fam now – absolutely he should go and treble or quadruple his pay for the few years he has left in the game.

      Remember old days we'd let GG and JJ just walk away then 4 weeks panic while being told impossible do business in jan…then 31st Jan ring man city u23s and see if jonjo kenny or carlton cole want a game

      GG should have stayed, but fair play that he's ambitous enough to want to be the first choice. It's his last big career deal, so he goes with our blessing. Right, let's get the Korean lad in and flying. GG is talented, but his ability outside of the box doesn't scale-up well for the Champions League Level.

      This bid for GG will be completely insufficient if true, because the Japanese teams have no money. He is a player we should be looking to make significant amounts of money from, now and in the future. Going to Japan also means that he'll get a transfer somewhere else down the line for no money too, meaning any future fee we might get for him will be a pittance. In fact, given that he is probably on about 20k a week or so at Celtic, we may be looking at losing money on him if he goes to Japan. Terrible business. I really hope he goes somewhere to a club in a league that actually has money.

      It's mental to think that r team is progressing …Johnston looks an upgrade on JJ (especially this season)..on paper cho looks an upgrade on GG…and from YouTube (I know) iwata looks a player….very different to pavel brozek coming in after hooper

      Still think it’s a huge mistake letting him go , he brings a total different style to our game and he’s a different layer to our other strikers physically and size wise , he not at the club a wet week had to been a serious falling out full stop, we’re too small up front is my worry

      If GG was to go to Japan I honestly wouldn't say that's a surprise.

      Outside of 1 single season in Netherlands and 1 season with us he's a player the wrong side of the 20s.

      If he never came to Celtic we'd never know he existed and is exactly the type of player average profile that likely go to Asia as rest of Europe doesn't seem financially worth it

      I think you must've referred to my comment about the Korean striker's name on an earlier video. Cho or more accurately- Jo is certainly his last name (the Korean alphabet has separate letters for "j" and "ch" and the guy's name uses a "j" letter). In Japan and Korea (N/S), surnames go first. In Europe, Japanese names get turned around to fit the conventions most countries use. I don't know why this is not done for Korean names. And I'm hoping someone tells Celtic the official Romanization of the striker's name is all weird. "Gue" ticks me right off. It makes one think "Gue" as in "guess". absolutely not. "Gyu/Kyu" is more accurate.

      Now that the rant of a learner of Korean is over, I'll state that Giakoumakis is a loss for us. I'd have been happy with him staying and being given more minutes. I suppose he's getting replaced. But Ange must know that if Jo comes, he'll demand minutes. Starts, as many of them as possible. And all that mass of Instagram followers of his are going to want to see him play. I love Japanese and Korean people/cultures/languages to death, but Japanese and Koreans are rivals. Korean football channels were focusing on the tactical aspects of the Furuhashi/Giakoumakis dynamic, and gauging how much starting time could Jo expect.

      Hoping to see a 4-2-4 at times, to accomodate both Kyogo and Gyu-seong. Also, a new expression I've picked up from a Korean celeb video about him: "His stomach looks like a grenade." So colorful, yet, correct. Guy's ripped.

      I'll be sad to see GG go,,his goals last season won us the league,,wish him well.
      Cho,,,well i know nothing about him but i trust Ange does,i,ll reserve judgement till he plays,,,IF we sign him

      J league must be bigger than the spl – don't blame him and we will miss him – a sub who is guaranteed to come on and score is very rare. We are minnows.

      Sad that GG is going, I really wish he’d have played with kyogo rather than coming on for him. Would’ve been a devastating 2 strikers.

      Saying bizarre it's not really as with GG ITS NOT ABOUT FOOTBALL I THINK ITS SECURITY N ALL DO MONEY .WHICH ALSO DONT UNDERSTAND AS PLAYERS AT OUR CLUB DONT EXACTLY GET PENNIES THEY SOMETIMES FORGET MUCH SUPPORTER IN STANDS GETS PAID A MONTH COMPARED THEM .BUT IF WANTS FOLLOW THE MONEY TN ALL BEST GG

      The exaggeration and conjecture on this channel is unbelievable!! GG heading to Japan!! 6 or 7 million!! Who is kidding who?! Do you honestly think they are paying that? We got the best striker in Japan for 4.5million and you think any Japanese team will pay 6 or 7 million for a 28 year old.

      Players want to go, let them go. Let's face it GG is injury prone and been a bit of a mixed bag. JJ has never particularly over-impressed me Ralston is every bit as good and we have the new guy anyway. Goodbye to both and good luck, now let's move on!

      I think there’s more to it and have done for a while. Never once heard Ange really praise his attitude, or talk about how he’s great around the Team.

      He, Jota, CCV signed on DD and at that stage, Ange needed bodies. Some argue even if he was APs.

      27, never really played at a quality level, a season full of penalties…

      But since he’s been a Celtic player, he’s did well. Not convinced we can’t get better though.

      Ange definitely was referencing GG and JJ about players leaving that we love.

      Celtic are ahead of the rest of Europe. Our Japanese players have been outstanding.

      When u said it'll take him time….kyogo was on bench hours after off plane…maeda scored v hibs after the resumption of league…ideguchi played Cup v alloa and we all know about reo…..only lennon gave lads 8weeks to "learn city and culture "
